She is a self taught artist who began painting after a severe loss of vision due to Cogan’s disease from MCTD and Giant Cell Arteritis. She initially began painting in watercolor and eventually signed with
an international art gallery who encouraged her to paint abstracts in acrylics and realistic images in oils on canvas.
She is also known internationally as a sculptor and renown author. In 2025 she returned to painting full time, after a series of complex medical issues and a successful run in figurative clay work.
